Individual therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental space in which to address your needs. Together, we will identify therapeutic goals that move you towards a valued life. I practice largely from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) theoretical perspective, but will pull from different approaches based on your personal needs. Additionally, I ascribe to a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach and encourage intuitive eating principles when clinically appropriate.

Unlike many other mental health conditions, eating disorders require medical management and nutritional counseling. I strongly adhere to a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and will happily refer you to a medical provider and nutritionist in the community. I will request that you sign a release of information that enables me to consult regularly with your physician and nutritionist in order to provide you with the best, most comprehensive care possible.

Appointment Duration

The initial appointment will last 90 minutes in order to perform a thorough assessment and get to know you. All appointments following the initial assessment will last up to 60 minutes.

Appointment Frequency

Initially I recommend weekly sessions in order to establish a therapeutic alliance as our relationship will be the foundation of our work. Your needs will continually be assessed to determine the frequency of sessions.
